The camu camu is a tree that measures between 3 and 4 meters high and grows mainly in the Amazonian rainforest, near rivers. Camu camu is a small berry type fruit that is 4cm in diameter, red-orange in colour and has a tangy taste.

The best way to enjoy organic camu camu

Camu camu is intended for anyone requiring vitamin C (adults, children and the elderly). Generally speaking, an adult’s body needs 60mg of vitamin C per day.

Camu camu is usually enjoyed in powder form. You can add it to drinks, mix it with foods such as yoghurt, and even sprinkle it on cereals.

When used as a preventive measure, it is recommended to use camu camu over three weeks.

Pouteria lucuma is a tree of the sapotaceae family that gives a fruit known by the Andean natives as lucuma. This fruit from Peru is considered a superfood.

This tuber is one of the very few plants that can survive in the extreme climatic conditions of the Andean highlands (between 3,500 and 4,200 metres above sea level).

Maca grows in semi-desert conditions, under relentless sunshine and high temperatures during the day, intense frost at night, strong and sustained winds that dry up most plants causing significant soil erosion

It is still found in the wild in the Andes, in the highlands of the Puna, where it is called “chichicara” in Quechua and “januckara” in Aymara.
