Panela

Aymara Food Panela

Aymara Food panela is a natural, unrefined, handmade organic sugar made from traditional Latin American ingredients.
Also known as rapadura, chancaca or panocha, panela possesses a golden colour, intense flavour and melts on the tongue.

Panela consists of a single ingredient: sugar cane juice, which, once filtered, is cooked at high temperature to obtain something that resembles molasses. When the liquid evaporates, all impurities are removed and the natural sugar is then dried, ground and sieved. At the end of the process, the panela is ground to make it finer.

Panela is now recommended by dieticians to be enjoyed as a natural energy drink. Indeed, this natural sugar contains all the minerals necessary for long periods of physical activity.
